What Causes Snoring?
Snoring. It’s that hoarse breathing sound people make when they’re sleeping. Approximately 30% of the US population over age 30 snore on a regular basis. When air flows past relaxed tissues in your throat, it causes the tissues to vibrate as you breathe, which creates a snoring sound.

Snoring is caused by a partially obstructed airway. It can be obstructed due to your anatomy, nasal problems, like congestion, sleep position, sleep apnea, even alcohol consumption and sleep deprivation can cause snoring.
Snoring doesn’t necessarily diminish your quality of sleep, but it can cause sleep disruptions for other people sleeping in your home.
